About Us

Lingwood Football Club formed in 2008 from the old Norwich Union B team and the old Lingwood FC following a soap opera of events in the previous season. In our first full season, we finished third in Division 3 of the Norwich & Disrtict Business Houses Leage, and earned promotion to Division 2.

We play on the pitch opposite Lingwood Village Hall, for which we are indebted to Steve Prentice, the Village Hall Chairman - thanks for the support and use of the facilities, Steve!

We also enjoy the support of club groundsman/kit man/odd job man Barry Ward, who has reconditioned the goals, marks out the pitch and even takes care of the kit after we cover it in mud every week - he's an unsung hero, and we are very grateful for all of his efforts on our behalf.

Our sponsors this season are Drury's Transport, who we have to thank for our stylish new kit and equipment. See here for more details about them.
